What will you be doing?
During consultations, you monitor the growth, physical and psychosocial development of children between 0 and 4 years old, identify parenting issues in the pedagogical skills of as well as other threatening factors. You normalise and demedicalise. If necessary, you provide (para)medical and GGZ referrals.
You coordinate treatment plans and supervision plans and advise colleagues about the execution thereof. Close collaboration with the chain partners and coordination with the municipalities are important. Not only for the care of individual children and their parents, but also for the promotion of public health in your region. You will be given space to build and maintain your network relations with (para)medics, GGZ, education and (youth)services, and you are encouraged to explore and develop opportunities to promote public health. You play a coaching role within your team of doctors, nurses and assistants. Finally, you will execute the National Immunisation Programme.
What do we expect?
You show an interest in children, offer a listening ear to parents and build a relationship of trust with parents, carers and children. You convey your message kindly and clearly, fostering support for your advice and motivating children and parents to, for example, maintain a healthy lifestyle. Your have an ethical and professional attitude and you are able to work efficiently with within a self-regulating team. You are motivated to contribute to further development of ZuidZorg JGZ, you’re digitally competent and open to developments such as e-consultations or other innovative products. We also expect you to put Youth Healthcare on the map in your region and with the municipalities through offering policy advice aimed at the population of residents. You initiate collaboration with chain partners and make use of opportunities to promote public health.
You have completed the first phase of your Youth Healthcare Doctor training (Jeugdarts KNMG eerste fase), or you have your basic medical license (basisarts) and are willing to complete the training. You are in possession of a driver’s license as well as a car. We expect you to speak the Dutch language at level B2/C1 (by the end of your introductory period).
What do we offer?
We offer a contract with a negotiable number of hours. Initially for one year, with the aim of getting a permanent position. You will determine your team’s schedules based on the needs of parents and in collaboration with your colleagues, which gives you influence over your working times.
During your introductory period, you will be offered a range of courses to help you practice the position of Youth Healthcare Doctor. If needed, you will also be given the opportunity to attend a Dutch language course. Further possibilities for development and training will continue to be offered after the introductory period.
Salary and conditions are in accordance with the CAO Verpleeg- en Verzorgingshuizen Thuiszorg (VVT), salary scale FWG 65 for jeugdarts and FWG 60 for basisarts. You automatically participate in the Zorg & Welzijn Pension Fund.
