Corona: Appointments youth healthcare centre may be postponed due to safety measures

Especially in this time of Corona, safety comes first at our youth healthcare centres. We have decided to test our youth healthcare doctors, youth healthcare nurses and team assistants when they experience only very mild signs of a possible corona infection, to ensure your and your child’s safety. Until we have the results of these tests, our tested team members do not visit the youth health care centre. This is to prevent all risks of contamination.

Corona: hearing test for newborns temporarily cancelled as of March 24

The government has decided to temporarily cancel the hearing test for newborns, out of security reasons. As of the 24th of March, all scheduled appointments are therefore cancelled. This temporary measure, meant to minimise Corona-contamination risks, is at least effective until 6 April. We are investigating with other parties how and when we can carry out the cancelled hearing tests at a later date. Needless to say that we will inform all parents of children who are waiting for a hearing test of this new approach, as soon as we have more clarity on it. Please also check our website for updates:

Corona: Youth healthcare centre Bergeijk temporarily closed as of 24 March

Following our closure of the youth healthcare centre in the Achtse Barrier in Eindhoven, we also close our location in Bergeijk. Local general practitioners expect to house an increase in (Corona-)patients in the same building as our youth healthcare centre. For that reason we consider our location no longer suited for parents and children. That is why we close our Bergeijk location per Tuesday 24 March until further notice.

What does this mean for you?

Last week we were approached by general practitioners at the Achtse Barrier with the request to temporarily make room for them at our youth healthcare centre, so that we can offer them enough room to handle the enormous (expected) increase in (Corona-)patients. Needless to say that we support this request and that is why we close our youth healthcare centre at the Achtse Barrier as of Tuesday 24 March until further notice.
